I will not have satisfied your thirst for knowing How Mo Make a Powerful Prayer if I did not show you examples of How Wonderful God is from the scriptures.
Job 26:7-14
7 He spreads out the northern [skies] over empty space; He suspends the earth over nothing.
8 He wraps up the waters in His clouds, yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.
9 He covers the face of the full moon, spreading His clouds over it.
10 He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters for a boundary between light and darkness.
11 The pillars of the heavens quake, aghast at His rebuke.
12 By His power He churned up the sea; by His wisdom He cut Rahab to pieces.
13 By His breath the skies became fair; His hand pierced the gliding serpent.
14 And these are but the outer fringe of His works; how faint the whisper we hear of Him! Who then can understand the thunder of His power?”
Notice in verse 14 Job says these are just but the outer fringe of His works, how faint the whisper we hear of Him. After all the mighty works he spoke of Him. This is the God you pray to.
In Isaiah 40
“Here is your God!”
10 See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power,
and He rules with a mighty arm.
12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, or with the breadth of His hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?
15 Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; He weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.
22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
25 “To whom will you compare Me? Or who is My equal?” says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host (all the stars of the heavens) one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of His Great Power and Mighty Strength, not one of them is missing.
These are just two of the many scenarios where The Power of God is described. You can find more in Psalms or the books of Solomon, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. If you have this kind of knowledge of God, you are better off if you take it in prayer.
