This world is a world full of generations that come and go. Every person that ever lived, or who lives now, or will come to live later, had and has only one race to run in this world. The beginning of the race is when one is born while the end of the race is when one dies. However, this tends to be the race that many people don’t notice, many don’t even get to run it in their lifetime.

The world is full of many other races: race to finish school with good grades, race to get good jobs,
race to marriage, race to get wealthy etc. But the only race that counts is the race to eternal life. What makes people miss out on this race is deception. Deceptions to set goals in life to achieve things of this world. It is pure deception because none of all those achievements will come to matter in the end. We will carry nothing when we depart from this earth, our bodies will return to the soil the same
way it came on Earth (with nothing).

Therefore, people stress out, work hard day and night and achieve great things for simply nothing. It’s nothing because it is only for a short time and this short time is what people do not see.

It is funny how people will do anything; even kill, steal and destroy only to get pleasure for this
short time. This is called running the wrong race, for there is a way that seems right to a man but in the end, it leads to death (Proverbs 14:12). The wrong race is easy but one never gets enough satisfaction. It is owned and controlled by the devil himself, the father of deception. He tends to make people have a narrow and rare vision, not to see beyond the finish line, that life is only to get born, struggle to achieve things and be successful, get the happiness that life has to offer then
die.

And the reality is he is getting too much successful because many people are deceived like that and they do not set foot in the right race. (2nd Corinthians 4:4) they do not believe because their minds have been kept in the dark by the evil god of this world, he keeps them from seeing the light of the Gospel shining on them. How devastating it is to God. The Bible says what good is it if you gain
the whole world and lose your soul (Mark 8:36). This is what is beyond the finish line, whether you’ll gain life eternally or lose it eternally because you gained it here on Earth.
