In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.
(John 1:1). I feel motivated to write about this because I want to challenge the mindsets of people in the correct viewing of who God, their Father really is. Many people think God is viewed in very many ways and people have their own different thoughts of who He really is and how He works. However, think about this, if we were all created by Him, then how can we have different perspectives of Him and how He works? Can the children of the same father speak differently about who their father really is and how he works? We should only have one view of God and then we form many branches that come with that one view.
God speaking in the bible says my people perish because of lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). He also says that I have been misrepresented by those who do not know me (John 8:41). Needless to say, this doesn’t mean that it is only those who do not read the bible that have a wrong view of God but also those who read it. For it is one thing to read the bible and another to gain positive knowledge from it. The Bible says in all
your gaining, gain understanding (Proverbs 4:7).
One very wide view of God is that He is the one who set the laws and threatens that if we do not follow them, we are all going to perish. Well, let the Creator speak for Himself. Exodus 34:6 The LORD passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The LORD! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.”
Let us go back to the beginning before this world was created. The earth was formless and void filled with darkness and the spirit of God was moving over the water (Genesis 1:1). So, it is God who existed in the beginning before anything or anyone else.
Listen closely, there were three most powerful angels: Lucifer, Michael and Gabriel. Lucifer became jealous of man because man was created in the very image of God and therefore, he wanted to be like God just like man was and also to receive praises and worship that God received (Isaiah 14:13). God cast him out because God does not share His glory with anyone. God therefore promised the devil hell where he would burn eternally together with his angels. Hence, hell is just the place where “wasted creation” is put. Any creation which does not acknowledge the creator is considered as dead or “wasted creation”.
Now God created man and acknowledged him as the most precious of all His creation. He said “now let us make man in our own image and likeness, and they will have dominion over all the animals and birds of the air” (Genesis 1:26). Lucifer knew that what he was promised as his fate would surely come to pass, so he decided to be crafty and take along with him God’s most precious creation. He knew he could achieve this by making man to rebel against God and thus making man equal to himself, a “wasted creation”.
