A Toxic Relationship is a relationship that can be defined as having multiple problems or one problem that has dominated the relationship and both partners are not willing to change or take responsibility for their actions. At this stage, everyone is exhausted, much damage has been done to the relationship and both partners are not willing to Fix the Broken Relationship.
In most occasions, there is always an underlying factor that keeps one person there. This factor tends to keep the partner in a tolerative mode and makes him or her think about perseverance more than quitting. The factors may include, investments that both of you have done together, children involved, family getting on very well, or one partner is solely the bread winner of the relationship.
However, if a toxic stage is reached and both parties see that there is nothing that can be done to Fix The Broken Relationship, then this might be a good time to think of an exit plan and Walk off The Relationship or Marriage.
First step is to Remove Fear of walking away. Think how Important your Life Is. God created you to live a happy life and enjoy the abundance of His Grace and Mercy. God never created anyone to suffer in this world. If you have not been experiencing love for a long time, there is a sure place to find constant and unfailing love, in God. Therefore, know that God has your back. The Bible says that He is close to the broken hearted. If your heart is broken, you will find God right there; if you are kicked in the gut, He will help you catch your breath Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart and bandages all their wounds Psalm 147:3. When you walk off, you have ready help. God is waiting for you to embrace you with a loving and kind heart, and if you will trust Him and cling on to Him, in due time you will be alright.
Make sure that you leave things off in a good way with your partner. Walking off does not mean being rude and malicious. Leave things in a good way, explain your thoughts and leave.
If you have decided to go with this step. Make sure that you will Never Go Back. You did leave for a reason and you can find love once again. Going back is the most dominative thought that will be playing in your head. But that is Not The Answer. If you consulted God about the situation and He approved of it, then Trust Him. Everything will be alright in due time.
