God does not require for people to come before Him perfect in their own ways as they think. He requires of His people to believe in His Son so that the blindness in their minds will be healed and maintain their freedom and victory which He gave up His son to obtain for them.
One day people will realize a sense of peace and rest that they did not know a human being could have because the devil will be miles away from their lives. “For the thief-the devil-comes only to steal, kill and destroy but I-Jesus Christ- have come that they may have life and have it to the full” (John
10:10).
There is power in every Word that God spoke in the Bible; He said when you seek me with all your heart, you will find me (Jeremiah 29:13). Finding Him cannot be compared to finding just anyone or anything; rather finding Him means finding a relationship with Him which leads to a life that no one ever thought a human being could have in this earth.
Does this really mean that the devil will go and busk and watch you live a successful life in Christ? Of course not! The devil is always angry on a Christian that loves the Lord and pleases him. Even when God assured him that Job was faithful to him, he still wanted to prove that job only worshipped God
because he had blessed him (Job 1:7-12). God still allowed him to tempt His own Son, Jesus Christ, as it says it (Mathew 4:1) then the Spirit took Jesus to be tempted by the devil. It is only when faith is tested by trials just as fire tests and purifies gold that it becomes pure (1 Peter 1:7).
But the same God says that He will never allow any temptation that is beyond what his people can bear come by, He says He will always provide a way for escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). But now listen closely because this one defines it all; taming the mind to resist the devil will not be by your own works but by the works of the Holy Spirit. The same way you received salvation; not by your own good deeds but by the good deeds of Jesus Christ. So, the battle is a lot way easier because the Holy Spirit does everything and He cannot be defeated. Greater is He who is in us than the one who is in the world (1 john 4:4)
Moreover, the Bible says taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8). Once you have tasted the goodness of the Lord, enjoyed Spiritual joy and peace and notice that this is only a portion of what is going to be in heaven; you will never want to go back to the old wicked ways. You will hate the devil for keeping you blind with empty pleasures which cannot be compared to what you are experiencing. You will live a good life here and if the second coming of Jesus will not find you alive, you will sleep and not die, just like Jairus’ daughter and Stephen the martyr (the bible indicates that they fell asleep); waiting to be woken up by Jesus Christ, for there is no death to anyone who lives and believes in Him (John 11:26), how wonderful.
This is when I realized the importance of (Mathew 7:13); make every effort to go through the narrow gate because wide is the gate that leads to destruction yet many people travel it and few people find the narrow gate that leads to life; but when you find it, you enjoy the war!
