The Bible says, without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). To have faith is to be sure of what we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see (Hebrews 11:1).

We live in a world where people believe what they see but not what they do not see. Not judging anyone, this applies to all of us. It is more tempting to believe what we see than what we do not see. This is why hope is accompanied by clouds of doubt which only results to desperation in many cases. But the Bible says we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

The good thing about faith is that faith is not inborn but it comes as a result of practice. People make plans about tomorrow, or the coming month, or even a year; that’s faith, they hope for the things they have not seen and hope to accomplish them. But they miss out on one thing, the one who has the final say is the one who controls their breath, whether they will live the next minute or not.

No one, except Jesus, has ever seen God and this is why we find it difficult to develop our faith in Him. But the bible says my people perish because of lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). God says He is not interested in our sacrifices and offerings all He wants us to do is love him constantly and know Him (Hosea 6:6).

So, it is clear that the only way to develop our faith in God is to get to know Him. In addition, when knowing Him, it is important that people know Him as God our Father. The one whose love for His precious creation no man can comprehend. In Romans we are told, nothing can ever be able to separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:35-39). He gives peace that surpasses all understanding and His mercy is beyond measure (Philippians 4:7).

God existed before the world; He created the world with the Word from His mouth so that what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen (Hebrews 11:3). He created the whole human race, called us His precious creation (Isaiah 43:4) and we became His own people with the main purpose of giving Him glory (Isaiah 43:7), so then He is our Father and we are his children.

The bible says that, we should have faith like that of a child (Mathew 18:3). You see when a child asks for something from his parents and they promise to give him, he will not go worrying whether they have finances, or whether they are too busy to avail time for what they promised. Instead, he will leave happily and keep anticipating every day until the day the promise will be fulfilled.

Look at how amazing that is. Now the truth is, we are all imperfect as human beings in our ways and no one can be assured of not failing in one way or another. In other words, the parents may fail to deliver the promise under normal circumstances. But we have the Father who cannot fail, the one who knows no defeat.

The Bible says that as sure as the rain pours down from the sky and waters the grass, so will His Word that He has spoken not return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11). He will fulfil everything that He has said and promised in the Bible, the only thing He requires of us is to have this childlike faith. What joy, fills the Lord’s heart when we have such faith.
